Fisherman

Sheep, misty hills, wet boglands, dramatic coastal cliffs and great knitwear... that's Donegal.

Fisherman Out of Ireland is a design studio and knitwear manufacturer in Kilcar, County Donegal, founded over a pint of stout in a snug in the fishing port of Killybegs in 1991. They combine the rib and stitch Aran sweater patterns worn by local fisherman with a fresh perspective on Irish sweaters, hats and scarves to define an urbane modern Irish look.

Fisherman Out of Ireland uses only natural fibres, is made in Ireland and knits a premium product. It is renowned for it's use cashmere and alpaca blends, pure Merino and lambswool. The yarn is sourced and spun by Donegal Yarns only a few miles down the road.
